SHANGHAI, May 20 (SMM) - On May 19, China Iron and Steel Association released data, which showed that steel market demand was still lower than expected in April.

SHANGHAI, May 20 (SMM) - On May 19, China Iron and Steel Association released data, which showed that steel market demand was still lower than expected in April. The domestic steel output increased month-on-month and continued to decline year-on-year; although the overall steel price continued to rise, the increase slowed down further. Since entering May, steel prices have shown a slight downward trend.
