CISA: China Crude Steel Output Fell 10% YoY in April

SHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) - In April 2022, China’s production of crude steel was 92.78 million mt, a year-on-year decrease of 5.20%, and the daily average output was 3.0927 million mt, an increase of 8.58% month-on-month.

SHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) - In April 2022, China’s production of crude steel was 92.78 million mt, a year-on-year decrease of 5.20%, and the daily average output was 3.0927 million mt, an increase of 8.58% month-on-month; the production of pig iron was 76.78 million mt, flat year-on-year, and the daily average output was 2.5593 million mt, a month-on-month increase of 10.81% ; The production of finished steel was 114.830 million mt, down 5.8% year-on-year, and the daily average output was 3.8277 million mt, an increase of 1.51% month-on-month.

From January to April, the production of crude steel was 336 million mt, down 10.30% year-on-year; the production pig iron was 280 million mt, a year-on-year decrease of 9.40%; production of finished steel was 427 million mt, a year-on-year decrease of 5.90%.
