






Recently, with the air supply instructions issued by the operators of the ironmaking control center, the No. 3 blast furnace in Baoshan Base reignited the fire, thus announcing the successful completion of the intermediate repair of the No. 3 blast furnace and its successful commissioning. After 98 days of rest and recuperation, the No. 3 blast furnace starts a new journey of low-carbon and efficient smelting with a new attitude, contributing the hard core force of ironmaking for the company to achieve the best performance.
The No. 3 blast furnace of Baosteel was put into production in September 1994. It is the first super-large blast furnace designed and built by China. The localization rate of the equipment has reached more than 95%, and the first generation of blast furnace has been in service for 19 years. It has become the representative of the world's high-efficiency and long-life blast furnace. The No. 3 blast furnace was shut down on September 1, 2013 and began its in-situ overhaul on November 16, which took a total of 76 days, which is the shortest rapid overhaul in the history of Baosteel. The capacity of the third blast furnace (second generation) is expanded to 4850m ³, the number of tuyere is increased to 40, the full dry gas purification process is adopted, the hearth waist is equipped with copper cooling stave, and the hearth carbon brick is selected with NDK carbon brick, the overall cooling strength of the blast furnace is greatly improved. The production was stable after air supply in 2013, reached production efficiency after 5 days, and the index was stable in two years after putting into operation; the average annual coal ratio reached 190.49kg in the first year, the highest monthly 198kg, the average annual utilization coefficient was 2.15, and the production was stable and the index was good in the initial stage of the second generation. However, in recent years, the cracking of the furnace shell, the damage of the cooling stave and the high side wall temperature in the iron mouth area have seriously affected the safety, longevity and smooth operation of the blast furnace, as well as the economic and technical indexes such as the output and coal ratio of the three blast furnaces. Under the background of carbon neutralization carbon peak low carbon smelting, the three blast furnaces start the medium repair project in time to further improve the safety and economic indicators.
Under the painstaking efforts of all the designers, construction, equipment, supervisors and production personnel, the No. 3 blast furnace successfully resumed production by overcoming many difficulties, such as heavy task, tight construction period, long time span, difficult operation, severe epidemic prevention situation, and so on. In order to ensure the realization of the goal of "safety, high quality and high efficiency" of the No. 3 blast furnace intermediate repair project, the ironmaking Plant of Baoshan Base of Baosteel has set up a medium repair headquarters to design, demonstrate and optimize the construction scheme. ensure the investment, time limit, quality and safety objectives of the medium repair project, and ensure the steady progress of the medium repair project. This medium repair overcame many technical difficulties and coordinated ahead of time with the functional departments of the company, Baoye Gongan Construction side, MCC Sadie Design Institute, refractory experts, Baowu scientists and the team of chief ironmaking technical experts. Special technical plan was formulated for each difficult problem in the process of medium repair, and inventory management was promoted one by one, which effectively promoted the implementation of the project.
