SHANGHAI, Mar 25 (SMM) - A few days ago, Tianjin's implementation plan of the “14th Five-Year Plan" energy conservation and emission reduction (draft for comments) was officially released. For the steel industry, it is pointed out that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the added-value energy consumption of industrial units above designated size should decrease by 15%, and the added-value water consumption of 10,000 yuan industrial units shall decrease by 10%. By 2025, the proportion of electric furnace steel production capacity in Tianjin will reach about 25%, the proportion of key industries with energy efficiency reaching benchmark level will exceed 30%, and the number of green manufacturing demonstration units will reach more than 300.
