A number of steel enterprises are on the list of intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories, excellent scenes and industrial Internet pilot demonstration in 2021.

In order to implement the "14th five-year Plan for the Development of Intelligent Manufacturing", the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the "list of Units and excellent scenes of Intelligent Manufacturing demonstration factories in 2021" and the "list of pilot demonstration projects on the Industrial Internet in 2021". A total of 26 enterprises in the iron and steel industry were selected. Among them, 7 enterprises were selected as the "unveiling units of intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories in 2021", 14 enterprises' intelligent manufacturing typical scenes were selected in the "2021 intelligent manufacturing excellent scene list", and 5 enterprises were selected in the "industrial Internet pilot demonstration project list".

On December 28, 2021, eight departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, jointly issued the 14th five-year Plan for the Development of Intelligent Manufacturing (hereinafter referred to as "the Plan"), which clearly put forward the "two steps", that is, by 2025, most of the manufacturing enterprises above the scale will realize digital networking, and the backbone enterprises in key industries will initially apply intelligence. By 2035, manufacturing enterprises above scale will popularize digital networking in an all-round way, and backbone enterprises in key industries will basically achieve intelligence.

With the improvement of the level of digitalization, networking and intelligence in steel mills, the application scenarios of industrial Internet in steel mills are becoming more and more abundant, which is of great significance to realize the high efficiency and cooperative operation of iron and steel enterprises and to improve the level of intelligent steel manufacturing.

From February 17 to 18, the "2022 Project Review meeting of the first Intelligent Manufacturing Standard Plan for the Iron and Steel Industry" organized by the China Iron and Steel Association was successfully held online. The meeting approved 10 industry standard plans such as "General Technical requirements of Intelligent Workshop", "Technical requirements of scrap Intelligent Plant system" and 25 group standard plans such as "Evaluation method of Intelligent Plant in Iron and Steel Industry" and "data Classification and coding of Iron and Steel Industry". At present, the China Iron and Steel Association has issued 76 intelligent manufacturing standard plans, including 74 group bid plans and 2 line standard plans. Seven intelligent manufacturing group standards have been compiled and issued.

In the next step, the China Iron and Steel Industry Association will step up the publicity and promotion of intelligent manufacturing achievements, select and sort out excellent intelligent manufacturing typical scenes, give full play to the leading role of advanced models, and accelerate the promotion and application of new technologies, new equipment and new models. promote intelligent manufacturing to a new level and promote the high-quality development of the iron and steel industry.
