SHANGHAI, Jan 17 - Ning Jizhe, director of the National Bureau of Statistics, said at a press conference on January 17 that in 2021, China's total economic output reached 114.4 trillion yuan, surpassing the 110 trillion yuan mark, equalling to US$17.7 trillion based the average annual exchange rate, firmly ranking second in the world and accounting for an estimated share of more than 18% of the global economy. China’s GDP per capita reached 80,976 yuan, or US$12,551 at the average annual exchange rate.
