Secondary lead smelters operating rates rose slightly this week

Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou gained 0.13 percentage point from a week ago to 50.86% as of May 14 as Guizhou Cenxian ramped up production slightly, showed an SMM survey.

SHANGHAI, May 14 (SMM) – Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou gained 0.13 percentage point from a week ago to 50.86% as of May 14 as Guizhou Cenxian ramped up production slightly, showed an SMM survey.

Anhui Huaxin, Jiangxi Jinyang and Zhenyu gradually returned to normal production as environmental inspection teams left. In addition, Inner Mongolia Taiding and Hebei Songhe also restarted production. Domestic secondary lead output increased week on week.

Except for the smelters mentioned above, Huaxin Dadao is likely to start production next week, and smelters in Jiangxi Huijin will also recover from environmental restrictions. Secondary lead operating rates and output are expected to continue to increase.
