SHANGHAI, Apr 2 (SMM) – Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces lost 0.23 percentage point from the previous week to 78.04% as of Friday April 2.

Orders at lead-acid battery makers shrank as the market has entered a low season, and some small and medium-scale producers planned to reduce output next month. Export orders of automotive and ups batteries were also sluggish.

Some battery makers will take 1-2 days off for the Qingming holiday, which may weigh on operating rates next week.
