Silicon social inventories extended declines amid a low-water period

Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port declined 2,000 mt from the prior week to 61,000 mt as of Friday March 19, SMM data showed.

SHANGHAI, March 19 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port declined 2,000 mt from the prior week to 61,000 mt as of Friday March 19, SMM data showed.

Stocks fell sharply in Kunming due to low operating rates in Yunnan, but inventories at Tianjin port increased.
Silicon social inventories are likely to drop slightly in the short term.
