Shanghai bonded refined nickel stocks remained unchanged during the CNY holiday

SHANGHAI, Feb 18 (SMM) – Inventories of refined nickel in the Shanghai bonded areas remained unchanged during the Chinese New Year holiday and stood at 17,600 mt as of February 18, showed SMM data.

The import window remained closed before the CNY holiday amid tepid foreign trade, while the warehouses in the bonded area suspended operation during the CNY holiday. In addition, it was learned that no goods under long-term contracts arrived at port during the holiday. This also accounted for the stable situation in the nickel bonded stocks this week.
