Recently, the reporter learned from overseas social media that SAIC passenger cars sold the first MG pure electric car in Germany, successfully breaking into the "stronghold" of European car companies. For a long time, the European market has been a competitive high ground for mainstream automobile brands, especially in the era of new energy, more stringent emission regulations have further raised the entry threshold of the European market, which can meet the European standard to enter the European market and take root. It means that the quality of "China Smart" has been certified by users in developed countries, and it also represents that the above Chinese car brands led by passenger cars have strongly entered the "hinterland" of the European market.
As the birthplace and leader of the modern automobile industry, Germany has long been the "ceiling" of automobile research and development and manufacturing. German quality is recognized by users all over the world, and it is also the first choice for Germans. According to the survey, more than 70% of German users buy their own brands. The essence behind the invasion of Shanghai passenger cars into Germany is that Chinese independent brands have realized direct competition with local brands in the European market by virtue of their experience in the rapid development of the domestic market. As the independent brand of the largest automobile company in China, Shangqi passenger car has independently mastered many core technologies in the field of new energy and intelligent network connection, and continues to turn technological advantages into product advantages. Take the MG EZS as an example, this car not only meets the stringent European emission standards, but also won the Euro NCAP five-star safety assessment and passed the REACH environmental standards.
In fact, SAIC launched the globalization strategy as early as 2010, and gradually deepened the deployment of new energy overseas markets with Europe as the leader. With Britain as the bridgehead, SAIC passenger cars have now entered Norway, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Belgium and other developed countries, and are in full bloom in the European market. In addition, SAIC passenger cars with new energy models are also exported to Thailand, Malaysia, India, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Peru, Cuba, South Africa, Egypt, the Netherlands, Central Asia, Australia and other countries and regions.
SAIC passenger cars in the overseas market of intensive cultivation, positive feedback on sales and word-of-mouth. In 2020, overseas sales of SAIC passenger cars reached an all-time high of more than 230000, up 67 per cent from a year earlier. In the field of new energy, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands and other countries have become the main incremental market of SAIC passenger cars; in terms of fuel vehicles, SAIC passenger cars have ranked first many times in Australia, Chile, Egypt and other market segments. At present, SAIC passenger cars have more than 4.1 million overseas fans, and the mileage of its Internet car users has reached 220 billion kilometers, equivalent to 5.44 million times around the earth, making it a model for Chinese car brands to go global.
The passenger car is "going out" in a systematic, planned and organized way. It is reported that in 2021, SAIC passenger cars will continue to accelerate the pace of "going out". On the basis of consolidating the basic market markets in South America, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East, SAIC passenger cars also plan to enter 21 overseas countries and markets, and the number of sales outlets will also grow to more than 800. We will accelerate the promotion of "intelligent manufacturing in China" to the world. In addition, SAIC passenger cars will continue to take Europe as the key overseas strategic market, and Synchronize will be distributed around the world, with three products launched in advance, of which the "5G intelligent electric SUV" MARVEL R will be the first to launch as a flagship model.
