Vale resumes production of large Varren pelletizing plant

[Vale resumes production at Grand Varren pelletizing Plant] Vale yesterday resumed production at the Grand Varren (Vargem Grande) pelletizing plant in Nuevo Lima, Minas Gerais, Brazil, which has been closed since February 2019. The rated capacity of the Dawar pellet plant is 7 million tons per year, and according to the production capacity of the plant and the supply of pellet fine powder, the output is expected to be between 4 million and 5 million tons in 2021.

Vale yesterday resumed production at the Grand Val (Vargem Grande) pellet plant in Nuevo Lima, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, which has been closed since February 2019. The rated capacity of the Dawar pellet plant is 7 million tons per year, and according to the production capacity of the plant and the supply of pellet fine powder, the output is expected to be between 4 million and 5 million tons in 2021.

Vale reaffirms its commitment to the safe and stable restoration of production capacity.
