Crude steel production in Colombia fell 22.6% in October compared with the same month last year.

SMM12, March 15: Colombia's crude steel production in October was 95699 tons, down 22.6 percent from a year earlier, according to a report released by (CPA), the Colombian steel producers committee. The output of finished steel from long wood in October was 100002 tons, down 15.5% from the same period last year. In the first 10 months of this year, the output of long-wood finished steel decreased by 20.1% to 916325 tons compared with the same period last year.

The Colombian Steel producers Council said crude steel production in Colombia was severely affected by the novel coronavirus epidemic in 2020, resulting in production of only 33089 tons in April and 65156 tons in May.
