Secondary lead smelters operating rates rose to 52.8% this week

Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou averaged 52.8% in the week ended December 4, up 2.8 percentage points from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.

SHANGHAI, Dec 4 (SMM) – Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou averaged 52.8% in the week ended December 4, up 2.8 percentage points from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.

The average operating rates in Anhui and Jiangsu remained unchanged on the week at 47.1% and 33.3% respectively.

Henan Jinli resuming production lines after purchasing sufficient raw materials lifted the average local operating rate by 7.7 percentage points to 76.8%.

The average operating rate in Guizhou gained 6.8 percentage points to 67.6%, as Jinlong completed maintenance and Dingxin restored two production lines. Yongxin reduced output this week due to equipment breakdown, but is expected to recover next week.
