Inventories of aluminium billet in China decreased this week with the downstream stockpiling ahead of the National Day holidays.

SHANGHAI, Sep 30 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China decreased this week with the downstream stockpiling ahead of the National Day holidays.


SMM data showed that aluminium billet stocks across the five major consumption areas — Foshan, Wuxi, Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang — in China dipped 7,900 mt from last Thursday to 63,600 mt as of Wednesday September 30.


Inventories in Foshan and Wuxi accumulated, while stocks in Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang declined, and inventory level saw the sharpest decline at Nanchang.
