The Qinghai Clean Energy Sustainable Development Promotion Association is composed of the National Network Qinghai Electric Power Company, Zhongguang Nuclear Solar Energy (Dachaidan) Development Co., Ltd., Qinghai Golmud Luneng New Energy Co., Ltd., Huaneng Golmud Photovoltaic Power Generation Co., Ltd., Qinghai New Energy (Group) Co., Ltd., Qinghai Zhineng Xiangsheng New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., etc. 6 representatives of clean energy power generation, transmission, clean energy materials research, New energy products manufacturing enterprises jointly initiated, the industry enterprises and institutions and experts and scholars responded positively, jointly established. Shen Tong, chairman and secretary of the party committee of Qinghai Electric Power Company, serves as the chairman of the sustainable development of clean energy in Qinghai Province.

Qinghai is a big province of clean energy. Up to now, the installed scale of clean energy in the province has reached 28.01 million kilowatts, accounting for 87.7 percent, of which 16.09 million kilowatts of new energy has been installed, accounting for 50.4 percent. It has become the province with the highest proportion of new energy installed and the largest centralized photovoltaic power generation in the country.

Since the beginning of this year, the central authorities have successively issued major strategies such as the large-scale development of the western region in the new era, ecological protection of the Yellow River basin, and high-quality development, and proposed to cultivate a number of clean energy bases in the western region, increase the construction of cross-provincial channels such as west-to-east power transmission, and enhance clean power transmission capacity. The Qinghai provincial government and the National Electroweb Company signed a strategic cooperation agreement, which laid a strategic foundation for speeding up the construction of a clean energy demonstration province, building a shared energy Internet ecosystem, and realizing high-quality sustainable development of clean energy in Qinghai. Major national deployments and strategic cooperation agreements have landed one after another, bringing unprecedented policy superposition opportunities for Qinghai Province to promote the leapfrog development and transformation and upgrading of clean energy.

Shen Tong said that the development of the clean energy industry in Qinghai will be a large-scale clean energy power generation market, a large-scale power transmission market, a large-scale energy storage market, and a large-scale clean energy market shared by the whole people.
