SMM9 March 3: recently, (RSP) of the Ruerkella Steel Plant of the Indian Iron and Steel Administration Co., Ltd. reported that pig iron production in August was 333840 tons, a monthly record.
Steelmakers said their new plate mill delivered 91138 tons of plates in August, the highest monthly shipment on record at the plant.
The blast furnace also reached its best-ever daily output of 3552 tons on Aug. 17, the statement said.
