Aluminium billet inventories rose 9,900 mt on week on larger arrivals

SMM data showed that aluminium billet stocks across the five major consumption areas — Foshan, Wuxi, Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang — in China built up 9,900 mt from a week ago to 75,800 mt as of Thursday August 6. 

SHANGHAI, Aug 6 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China increased this week as arrivals at warehouses in Guangdong and Jiangxi rose.


SMM data showed that aluminium billet stocks across the five major consumption areas — Foshan, Wuxi, Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang — in China built up 9,900 mt from a week ago to 75,800 mt as of Thursday August 6.

 
Inventories in Foshan, Changzhou and Nanchang accumulated week on week, while stocks in Wuxi and Huzhou declined, with Nanchang and Foshan saw bigger rebounds.
