ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih Steel Plant's crude steel output fell 78% in the first half of the year compared with the same period last year.

SMM7: in the first half of this year, the output of finished steel from Arcelormittal Kryviy Rih, a comprehensive steel mill in Ukraine, increased by 5.4% over the same period last year to 2.4 million tons.

On the contrary, its crude steel and pig iron production fell during this period, with crude steel production of 2.4 million tonnes in the first half of the year, down 78 per cent from a year earlier, while pig iron production fell 2.1 per cent to 2.5 million tonnes.

In June alone, ArcelorMittal Kryviy Ri produced 415000 tons of crude steel, 430000 tons of pig iron, 385000 tons of finished steel and 800000 tons of iron ore.
