Recently, the recycled Metals Branch learned from several sources that some foreign shipping companies have suspended or are about to suspend shipping services involving copper and aluminum scraps that can be used as raw materials to mainland China and Hong Kong. At the same time, all shipping orders originally planned to arrive in the above-mentioned areas after September 1 will also be cancelled.
Here, the recycled Metal Branch reminds domestic and foreign enterprises to communicate with shipping companies in advance to avoid the impact and losses on the trade and logistics of recycled metal raw materials. At the same time, it is hoped that all enterprises can adhere to legal management and ensure the quality of raw materials.
The standard of recycled metal raw materials was formally implemented on July 1, 2020. those who meet the raw material standards are ordinary commodities, and the import business can be carried out after the relevant national competent departments have determined the details of the import operation. At present, the solid waste import licenses issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment are valid until December 31, 2020, and the goods imported under the license are legal. I hope that the relevant carriers will ensure the smooth flow of recycled metal raw materials.
