Henan: trial implementation of ultra-low emission differential hydropower price for iron and steel and cement enterprises from August 1

SMM: in order to promote the emission reduction of air pollutants in key industries, Henan Province will try out ultra-low emission differential hydropower prices for iron and steel and cement enterprises in the province from August 1.

According to the policy, starting from August 1, all iron and steel and cement enterprises in the province that have not completed the ultra-low emission transformation as required will implement a price increase policy for online electricity purchase (including market-traded electricity) and water supply for tap water enterprises; for enterprises that have completed all ultra-low emission transformation, electricity and water prices will no longer be increased.

The price increase standard is based on the requirements of "organized emissions, unorganized emissions and clean mode of transportation". If one item does not meet the ultra-low emission requirements, the electricity price will be increased by 0.01 yuan per kilowatt-hour (including tax), and the water price will be increased by 0.05 yuan per cubic meter (including tax). If the two items do not meet the ultra-low emission requirements, the unit electricity price and water price will be increased by 0.03 yuan and 0.08 yuan respectively. If the three items fail to meet the ultra-low emission requirements, the unit electricity price and water price shall be increased by 0.06 yuan and 0.1 yuan respectively.

It is reported that after the implementation of the ultra-low emission differential hydropower price policy, the increased income of power grid enterprises and tap water supply enterprises due to the implementation of differential electricity prices and water prices will be used by the provincial government to support relevant enterprises to carry out energy conservation and emission reduction transformation.
