As of June 25, iron ore inventories across 35 ports tracked by SMM totalled 114.26 million mt, a decrease of 110,000 mt from the previous week, but up 13.6 million mt year-on-year. Daily average deliveries from the 35 ports decreased 42,000 mt on a weekly basis to 2.71 million mt last week.

DCE iron ore futures fluctuated downward today, and the main contract fell by as much as 8.79% throughout the day; the morning quotation of the physical port market was lowered by 20-25 yuan/mt from last Friday, and the space for intraday bargaining continued to expand.

As of June 11, iron ore inventories across 35 ports tracked by SMM totaled 116.11 million mt, a decrease of 2.27 million mt from the previous week, but up 16.76 million mt year-on-year. Daily average deliveries from the 35 ports increased 27,000 mt on a weekly basis to 2.72 million mt last week.

DCE iron ore futures performed relatively strong compared to yesterday, main contract I2109 has risen by 3.98% today. The physical port quotations up 15-20yuan/mt in the morning.

DCE iron ore futures market ascended by 6.43%, with port stock prices in the morning have been up adjusted by 30-40yuan/mt over last Friday. Total market activity picked up along with increasing inquiries from steel mills. PBF was closed at 1380yuan/mt in Shandong market, up by 50yuan/mt over last Friday.

As of May 28, iron ore inventories across 35 ports tracked by SMM totalled 119.44 million mt, a decrease of 920,000 mt from the previous week, but up 19.84 million mt year-on-year.

A total of 84 vessels carrying 11.33 million mt of iron ore arrived at major Chinese ports during May 2-8, SMM estimates. This was down 420,000 mt from the previous week, and down 2.72 million mt from the same period last year.

As of April 23, iron ore inventories across 35 ports tracked by SMM totalled 126.78 million mt, up 0.24 million mt from a week ago and 21.53 million mt from a year ago.

A total of 78 vessels carrying 12.01 million mt of iron ore arrived at major Chinese ports during April 12-18, SMM estimates. This was down 1.82 million mt from the prior week, and down 1.22 million mt from the same period last year.
