Shanghai-bonded zinc stocks dropped 4,500 mt on week

Inventories of zinc ingot across Shanghai-bonded areas decreased 4,500 mt from last Friday April 24 to 71,600 mt as of Thursday April 30, showed SMM data.

SHANGHAI, Apr 30 (SMM) – Inventories of zinc ingot across Shanghai-bonded areas decreased 4,500 mt from last Friday April 24 to 71,600 mt as of Thursday April 30, showed SMM data.

This week’s drop came after a dip of 300 mt in the previous week, as import profits recovered.

Zinc social inventories expanded 1,700 mt over weekend

SMM data showed that social inventories of refined zinc ingots across Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Hebei increased 1,700 mt from last Friday July 9 to 122,000 mt as of Monday July 12. The stocks were up 6,200 mt from July 5.
