Secondary lead smelters operating rates inched up to 23%

Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou increased 1.7 percentage points from the prior week to 23% in the week ended March 20, showed a SMM survey.

SHANGHAI, Mar 20 (SMM) – Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou increased 1.7 percentage points from the prior week to 23% in the week ended March 20, showed a SMM survey.

 

The operating rates in Anhui, Henan and Jiangsu remained unchanged at 0%, 18% and 33.3%, respectively, while the rate in Guizhou climbed 9 percentage points to 52.9% as smelters there resumed production.

 

In Guizhou, Jinlong has resumed its two production lines, and Cenxiang recovered smelting production in the middle of this week.
