Worldsteel: China crude steel production rose 4% on year in November

China’s crude steel production dipped for a third straight month to 80.3 million mt in November

SHANGHAI, Dec 23 (SMM) – China’s crude steel production dipped for a third straight month to 80.3 million mt in November, according to data from the World Steel Association (Worldsteel) reported last Friday.

This was up 4% from November 2018, compared to a dip of 0.6% for October.  

The Worldsteel report also revealed that crude steel production across 64 countries decreased 1% from a year ago to 147.8 million mt last month. The world production stood at 151.5 million mt in October.
