China's iron ore imports fell 2.4% in November

The imports fell for the second consecutive month in Nov

SHANGHAI, Dec 9 (SMM) – China's iron ore imports fell for the second consecutive month in November, shrinking 2.4% from a month ago to stand at 90.65 million mt, according to the latest data by China Customs.

The imports unexpectedly declined by 6.5% in October after three straight months of increase. 

On a yearly basis, imports were 5.1% higher in November. 

Customs data showed that China took 971 million mt of seaborne iron ore and concentrates in January to November, 0.7% lower from the same period a year earlier.
