Maintenance at Anyang Steel to affect HRC output for 15 days

SMM data showed that China's refined zinc output stood at 508,900 mt in August, down 1.22% on the month and 0.04% on the year. Output from January to August was 4.04 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 4.47%. Alloy output at domestic refined zinc smelters in SMM’s survey sample registered 75,500 mt in August, up 80 mt on the month.

SMM data showed that HRC stocks across social warehouses and steelmakers increased 1.87% in the week ended July 9 to 3.63 million mt, after a 1.89% gain in the previous week. The stocks were 8.5% higher than the same period last year.

SMM data showed that HRC stocks across social warehouses and steelmakers decreased 4.72% in the week ended May 28 to 3.9 million mt, marking the 11th straight week of declines. The stocks were 30.38% higher than the same period last year.
