Port Hedland's iron ore exports to mainland China lower in Oct

The exports were 0.75% lower than Sep but 9.14% higher than Oct 2018

SHANGHAI, Nov 13 (SMM) – Port Hedland in Australia exported some 35.78 million mt of iron ore to China’s mainland in October, 0.75% lower than September but 9.14% higher than October 2018, showed the latest data from the Pilbara Ports Authority. 

This accounted for 85.2% of iron ore leaving the world's biggest iron ore port last month, limitedly changed from a month ago. 

Total exports of iron ore from the port stood at 42.01 million mt in October, roughly flat from September but up 4.6% from a year earlier.
