Global crude steel production dipped 0.3% on year in Sep: Worldsteel

Output from China grew 2.2% year on year to 82.8 million mt

SHANGHAI, Nov 6 (SMM) – The latest data from the World Steel Association (Worldsteel) showed that crude steel production across 64 countries fell 0.3% from a year ago to stand at 152 million mt in September, compared to a 3.4% rise in August.

Output from China grew 2.2% year on year to 82.8 million mt in September, slower than the increase of 9.3% in August.
