Primary aluminium inventories expand 1,000 mt on week

Stocks increased by 1,000 mt from a week ago to stand at 1.041 million mt as of Aug 8

SHANGHAI, Aug 8 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium in China rose for a second straight week this week, as a low consumption season continued.

SMM data showed that stocks across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased by 1,000 mt from a week ago to stand at 1.041 million mt as of Thursday August 8.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 304,000 mt

Shanghai – 202,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 274,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 114,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 56,000 mt

Tianjin – 51,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 15,000 mt

Chongqing –25,000 mt
