At the same time, the construction industry is developing rapidly. In 2018, the total number of construction machinery and equipment owned by construction enterprises was 11.045 million, 54.2 times that of 1982, with an average annual growth rate of 11.7 percent; at the end of the year, the total power of self-owned machinery and equipment exceeded 260 million kilowatts, 8.7 times that of 1982, with an average annual growth rate of 6.2 percent; and the net value of self-owned machinery and equipment at the end of the year was 624.6 billion yuan, 50.2 times that of 1982, with an average annual growth rate of 11.5 percent.

Judging from the amount of contracts signed, in 2018, the amount of project contracts signed by construction enterprises nationwide reached 49.4 trillion yuan, 18.5 times that of 2002, with an average annual increase of 20 percent and an average annual increase of 2.9 trillion yuan.
