Nickel ore inventories at Chinese ports rise to 13.5 million wmt

Stocks rose 310,000 wmt from a week ago as of Jul 19

SHANGHAI, Jul 19 (SMM) – Nickel ore inventories across all Chinese ports continued to grow this week as they rose 310,000 wmt from a week ago to 13.5 million wmt as of Friday July 19, SMM data showed.

Stocks in metal content expanded 2,600 mt this week to stand at 113,000 mt.

Stocks across seven major Chinese ports grew 360,000 wmt to stand at 11.09 million wmt.

[SMM Nickel Flash] Iranian Parliament Approves Bill to Levy Transit Fees on the Strait of Hormuz, Payable in Iran’s Local Currency According to CCTV News, on March 30 local time, the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament passed a bill proposing to charge fees to vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The plan includes implementing financial arrangements and a fee-charging system in Iranian rials; prohibiting US and Israeli vessels from passing through the Strait of Hormuz; maintaining Iran and its armed forces’ dominant position; barring passage by countries participating in unilateral sanctions against Iran; and cooperating with Oman to formulate the relevant legal framework.
