China produced 848,500 mt of copper cathode in March, up 8.42% MoM and down 5.79% YoY, according to SMM statistics.

China’s lithium carbonate output was 18,609 mt in February, a month-on-month decrease of 2% but a year-on-year increase of 51%.

In October 2021, global crude steel output in the 64 countries and regions included in the WSA statistics totalled 145.7 million mt, down 10.6% compared to October 2020. 1,607 million mt of crude steel were produced globally in the January-October, up 5.9% year-on-year.

China's refined tin output stood at 14,443 mt in October, up 10.95% from September.

According to SMM survey, the domestic high-carbon ferrochrome output totalled 389,000 mt in September, a drop of 96,200 mt or 19.83% month on month, and down 133,600 mt or 34.34% year on year.

Domestic zinc output stood at 508900 mt in August 2021, down 1.22% or 6300 mt on the month and 0.04% on the year, according to SMM. Cumulative output in January-August totalled 4.042 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 4.47%. Alloy output at domestic zinc smelters in SMM’s survey sample was 75,500 mt in August, up 80 mt on the month.

SMM data showed that China’s copper cathode output stood at 819,400 mt in August, down 1.3% month on month, but up 1.1% year on year.
