This is likely to slow the drop in iron ore inventories across Chinese ports

SHANGHAI, Jun 4 (SMM) – Ninety-seven vessels carrying 14.25 million mt of iron ore arrived at major Chinese ports from May 26 to June 1, up 3.15 million mt from the previous week, SMM forecasted on Tuesday June 4.

Arrivals rebounded after three consecutive weeks of decline, and this is likely to slow the drop in iron ore inventories across Chinese ports.

During May 26-June 1, iron ore deliveries departing Australian ports expanded 1.43 million mt from the prior week, to stand at 15.69 million mt. Iron ore leaving Brazilian ports was also expected to increase 960,000 mt week on week, to 6.98 million mt.
