SMM4, 17 April 2019: Vale informed Brazil on April 16, 2019 that the president of the state court of Minas Gerais decided to partially suspend the injunction issued by the Santa Barbara court on March 22, 2019. the president of the state court of Minas Gerais decided to partially suspend the injunction issued by the Santa Barbara court on March 22, 2019. The decision will bring the Brukutu mine, the largest iron ore mine in Brazil's Minas Gerais state, to full operation within the next 72 hours, with an annual production capacity of 30 million tons.

In addition, the announcement said that heavy rain in the city of St. Louis, Malaneon state, in March and April this year, had an impact on the loading of the port of Madeira and EFC rail transport, thus affecting the production of the northern system. Based on the above events, Vale reiterated that its guided sales of iron ore and pellets in 2019 were in the range of 307 million to 332 million tons, as previously announced, and that current expectations for sales were in the middle of that range.
