Itau: Vale will lose 160 million tons per year

SMM2, 20 Feb: the main risk facing Vale is a court decision that forced it to shut down its mining business without a legal / technical basis, Itau analysts said in a report to clients. In a worst-case scenario, Vale could eventually be forced to suspend production of 160 million tons a year, equivalent to the company's full dependence on tailings in Minas Gerais.
