Vale appoints Eduardo Bartolomeo as new CEO

Vale announced Eduardo Bartolomeo as Vale's new chief executive at a board meeting on Monday. Eduardo Bartolomeo has worked at Vale for 10 years and has previously served as an executive director for logistics and commodities integration and most recently as an executive director for basic metals in Canada. From 2016 to 2017, he was a member of the company's board of directors and finance committee.

SMM4, 30 April: Vale announced Eduardo Bartolomeo as Vale's new chief executive at a board meeting on Monday.

Eduardo Bartolomeo has worked at Vale for 10 years and has previously served as an executive director for logistics and commodities integration and most recently as an executive director for basic metals in Canada. From 2016 to 2017, he was a member of the company's board of directors and finance committee.

Fabio Schvartsman, the former chief executive, remains an executive director and all work has been redistributed, according to a statement released on March 2.
