Baosteel’s steel project at Zhanjing port of Guangdong province began to construct its third steel production complex on Tuesday April 9, Zhanjiang Daily reported.
The complex encompasses facilities for hot metal pretreatment, a 350-t converter and a 1,650-mm continuous caster, and is expected to come online in February 2021.
Annual production of slab at Zhangjiang Steel is expected to exceed 10 million mt after this complex enters operation.
