Weekly iron ore seaborne arrivals at Chinese ports to fall

Sixty-seven vessels carrying 9.53 million mt of iron ore are expected to arrive in the week ended Jan 10

 SHANGHAI, Jan 9 (SMM) – Sixty-seven vessels carrying 9.53 million mt of iron ore are expected to arrive at major Chinese ports in the week ended Thursday January 10, down 270,000 mt from the previous week, SMM data showed.

For the same week, iron ore shipments departing Australian ports are expected to decrease by 980,000 mt from the prior week to 14.35 million mt, and those leaving Brazilian ports are likely to fall by 200,000 mt to 7.7 million mt. Port maintenance at the start of the month lowered shipments.
