Xuzhou steel mills likely to recover after New Year's Day holiday

Xuzhou Dongnan Iron & Steel plans to make preparation for the resumption on Jan 1

SHANGHAI, Dec 29 (SMM) – All steel mills in Xuzhou, China's second-largest steelmaking province of Jiangsu, are likely to resume production after the New Year's Day holiday on January 2, source told SMM.  

Xuzhou Dongnan Iron & Steel plans to make preparation for the resumption on January 1, SMM learned. Local steel mills faced full suspension during the second half of December, as an effort to improve air quality.
