SHANGHAI, Dec 21 (SMM) – Tangshan steelmaker Ruifeng Iron & Steel Group extended suspensions to two more blast furnaces, on top of all sintering machines, on December 20, after it received notice from the local government, the group announced on Friday December 21.

The plant is likely to face further cutbacks on blast furnace capacity in the short run as the Tangshan government pushes to meet annual air quality targets.
