SHANGHAI, Nov 22 (SMM) – Production cuts for 2018/2019 winter pushed one blast furnace of 600m³ at Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel into suspension from November 15, SMM learned.

The furnace will resume operation in March 2019 when the winter cuts end, affecting daily molten iron production by 1,900 mt.

Separately, the Group plans to overhaul its rolling line for 10 days from December 9. This will affect rebar production by 2,500 mt per day, SMM expects.
