Chengde Jianlong cuts steelmaking capacity by 830,000 mt/year

It shut a converter of 70 mt on Nov 15

SHANGHAI, Nov 21 (SMM) – Chengde Jianlong Special Steel, located in China's top steelmaking province of Hebei, eliminated some 830,000 mt of annual steelmaking capacity, as it shut a converter of 70 mt on November 15. 

This was according to a public notice on the website of Chengde Development and Reform Commission on November 19. Chengde's move helped the city meet its annual target for overcapacity cuts, SMM learned.
