SHANGHAI, Nov 8 (SMM) – China exported 58.41 million mt of steel products in January-October, standing 9.3% lower than the same period of 2017, showed data from China Customs.
In October, exports of steel exports shrank 705,000 mt to stand at 5.245 million mt.
In the first 10 months of 2018, imports of steel products increased by 1.3% year on year to stand at 11.1 million mt with average import prices at 8,160.1 yuan/mt, up 6.9% from a year ago.
For the same period, about 892 million of iron ore concentrate entered China, down 0.5% from a year earlier and import prices averaged 456.1 yuan/mt, down 7.1% compared to a year ago.
