SHANGHAI, Oct 24 (SMM) – Benxi Steel Group, commonly known as Bengang in China, commissioned a high-speed production line that can produce 600,000 mt of bar products per year at its Beiying rolling mill on Friday October 19, SMM learned.
The production line, with total investment of 134 million yuan, can produce rebar with strength of 400MPa and 500MPa and diameter of 10-18 cm.
The mill at the Liaoning-based steelmaker will have the capacity to produce 1.8 million mt of bar products per year when the new line comes online.
