Holiday shipments grow China’s aluminium inventories

SHANGHAI, Oct 11 (SMM) – Primary aluminium inventories across major Chinese consumption areas grew in the first week after the National Day break as shipments delivered during the break arrived at warehouses, SMM research found.

As of Thursday October 11, stocks across eight consumption areas, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.613 million mt, up some 23,000 mt from Thursday September 27 and 9,000 mt from Monday October 8, SMM data showed.

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 691,000 mt

Shanghai – 355,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 249,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 118,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 96,000 mt

Tianjin – 55,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 24,000 mt

Chongqing – 25,000 mt
