SHANGHAI, Sep 18 (SMM) – Sintering machines, shaft furnaces and lime kilns have been required to cut their capacity by half from 18:00 CST on Tuesday September 18 to 24:00 CST on Thursday September 20, SMM learned.
One 198 m² sintering machine at Kaiheng Steel and one 265 m² at Tangshan Stainless Steel could be free from the production restriction as their denitrification facilities have been put into operation.
The city government imposed the requirement in face of potential heavy pollution during that period.
