DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Sep 14 (SMM) – Some stainless steel producers in Ningbo, Zhejiang province have suspended as of September 14 as after the provincial inspection team visited the city on Tuesday. SMM expects that output of #201 products will be affected if those plants fail to resume within this month.
The inspection is scheduled to last till September 30 and will check previous rectifications.
While #201 stainless is cheaper than some alloys, it is more prone to rusting due to its low nickel content. In China, it is often used as a lower-cost substitute for #300 series products.
