Daily crude steel output at CISA member mills edges up in late Aug

Output in Aug 21-31 gained 0.33% from Aug 11-20 and stood at 1.917 million mt

SHANGHAI, Sep 11 (SMM) – Average daily output of crude steel across China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) member mills during August 21-31 gained 0.33% from August 11-20 and stood at 1.917 million mt, according to CISA data.

For the same period, average daily output of crude steel across China is estimated at 2.433 million mt, up 0.3% from August 11-20. In August, the figure is estimated at 2.59 million mt, down 1.17% from July.

As of August 31, inventories of steel products across CISA member mills decreased by 3.3% from August 20 and came in at 11.933 million mt.
