SHANGHAI, Sep 7 (SMM) – Shaoguan Iron & Steel in Guangdong province will conduct maintenance on its rolling lines from September 16 as downstream demand weakened on torrential rainfall. Cash flow issues also accounted for the decision.
Maintenance, scheduled to last till September 30, will affect some 50,000 mt of rebar output.
SMM also learned that short supplies of raw materials weighed on operations at construction sites.
